...But First, Another Sweet Antique Mall In Chicago! I know I know...You Wanna See MY Stuff. We'll get to it soon enough! Status: Small But Definitely Sweet!
Wow, right? How cool is this swirly scrolly breakfast table set? And this isn't even the coolest stuff in the Edgewater Antique Mall in Chicago!
I didn't have a lot of time to thoroughly score and set up shots here at the Edgewater Antique Mall as we were kinda pressed for time. I guess it's a good thing that this place isn't quite the behemoth that the Broadway Antique mall is! Much less square footage but still lots to covet!
Whew....so...who needs a cigarette? Tasty joint no? Chicago definitely has some great stuff but it'll lighten your wallet. Don't expect no bargains...but the stuff you turn up might make you light headed. Take some smelling salts!

My SIL lived in Chicago for a while and still has family there. We keep saying we're going to go, and your posts are pushing us closer to jumping in the truck and heading out.
ReplyDeleteDana - can you imagine how good the estate sales must be? I bet the competition is absolutely fierce!
ReplyDeleteI can confirm that estate sale competition in Chicago is fierce. Ugh. I live just blocks from both BAM and Edgewater Antique Mall and although they are fun to browse through, they are very pricey. That's why I'm so envious of your finds, Mr. Mod! You always get the goods at a great price!
ReplyDeletePS: I just picked up a Jere starburst with geese wall sculpture for $25...I'm gonna have to see what price Edgewater is asking for the one you have pictured! I'm guessing 5-6x more than what I paid! :-)
ReplyDeleteHas anyone ever seen one of those Starburst W/Geese sculptures with a Jere signature on it? I've seen these priced all over the map but haven't ever seen one with a sig. We have a nice one on our wall in the entryway.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I'm having heart palpatations here! FABULOUS store. My goodness.....indeed, a cigarette is in order after seeing those pictures. I might have to look at them again just to torture myself. I loved that little black bullet planter! I bet it wasn't cheap either.
ReplyDeleteAh, what a tease! I want so many things in that store. What a great place!!
ReplyDeleteWow - neat stuff. That breakfast set if fantastic! I don't think the starburst/geese sculpture is an actual Jere piece. I've got one too. I see them everywhere so I'm guessing it was a little more mass produced than Jere stuff. But that's just a guess.
