Did I Say I Was Done With The 127 Corridor Sale? Sorry! I Almost Forgot About These Great Classroom Retractable North And South America Maps. OK, Now I'm Pretty Sure This Is It. Status: Available.

Remember these!  Do schools even use these retractable maps anymore?  I see these in a lot of posts on Apartment Therapy.  They make great art pieces and are just so bright and colorful, they'd look especially great in a stylish child's room or a nursery.

More Loot From The Worlds Longest Flea Market: The 127 Corridor Yard Sale. This Russel Wright Pitcher And Vari-point Lead Sharpener Are Just Two More Of The Stash Of Smalls I Nabbed. Status: Soon To Be Tagged.

I was REALLY hoping that I was going to be pulling into the driveway here at home on Sunday with a Focus wagon FILLED with awesome chairs, tables, lighting and such...but it just wasn't meant to be. Instead I'm having to be happy with a decent haul of smalls. I'm not disappointed but just a little underwhelmed. Still, compared to an average haul from the local fleas I did quite well!

Just After Dropping Off The Other Car We Traded In (Tinkerbell - The Volvo Wagon) At The Dealership, We Took The New Bunny Straight To A Thrift Store To Calm Our Nerves, Where I Found This Neato Vintage Childs Telescope! Status: Far Seeing.

I was surprised to find that this little telescope kit actually worked when I assembled it for the photos!  It was daylight out so I couldn't see how it works on the Moon or anything, but I was able to see down the street pretty well.

I Just Dropped Off This Fantastic KEM Weber Style Lounge Chair At The Booth In Creve Coeur After Spending The Afternoon Cleaning It Up All Pretty. It's Amazing How Well Vintage Chrome Cleans Up. Status: Available.

20140525_154507

I picked this lovely KEM Weber style chrome and vinyl lounge chair by Royal Metal a few days ago from a seller who had thought they were gonna "get in the game" so to speak...but then they had off spring instead.  Kids'll do that.  Their gain...is my gain!

It Is Officialy Flea Market Season Here In The Midwest And The Pickin' Juices Are Fully Flowin'! I've Only Made It To The Wentzville And Belleville Fleas Once Each Thus Far But I'm Already Suffering From The Proverbial Itch. The Dream? Brimfield. Gonna Make It This Year? Nope. Status: Vicarious Visit.

Scheduling.  It all comes down to scheduling.  We might have made it to Brimfield this year for the big Summer antique show and sale but the Girlfriend has a conference for work that starts like the last day of the show...and did I mention it's on the OTHER coast?  Maybe next year.  Until then, I'll just have to be satisfied with our own, much cheaper (and smaller) fleas...oh, and some videos I've found around the web!  Click through to check out the first in a series.  It's quite amazing!

Because Of The Lousy Weather Over The Weekend I Got Lucky And Was Afforded The Opportunity To Snatch This Industrial Style Factory Cart Coffee Table Today. But Was It That Easy...Of Course Not. Status: Still...It's Available.

20140304_101120

This lovely...wait, that's not quite the right word, this is far too masculine for a word like "lovely".  This...gnarly(?) factory cart popped up on craigslist over the weekend and for some reason I didn't bite.  Maybe the seller lowered the price or something but when I spotted it again on Monday, I just had to have it.  She told me she had a couple buyers lined up over the weekend but they all bailed due to the bad weather.  Lucky me!

After Loading Up A Craigs-find Sunday I Thought I'd Drop By The Goodwill On Cherokee Street...'Cept It Ain't A Goodwill, It's A Salvation Army. Not Open On Sunday, But Then I Found This Joint: Strange Overtones, Which Was A Bit Of Serendipitous Luck. Status: Gorgeous Goods..

20140202_135428

I kind of accidentally found this place on Cherokee Street Sunday afternoon after failing to realize the thrift store I was hoping to pillage was, in fact...er, not open on Sundays.  Lucky me though, 'cuz this place is freakin' great!  Who needs a Restoration Hardware when you can get an eclectic mix of the Real Thing right down there on one of the most interesting boulevards in St. Louis.

A Quick Hunt Through The Local Goodwill Saturday Yielded A Nice Collection Of Machine Age Style Goodies. Some Are Authentic, Some Not, But They All Got That "Look". Status: The Smalls.

20140202_170656

If you've never kept a shop or antique mall booth, let me tell ya...it's the smalls that can keep you afloat most of the time.  These bits and pieces are what keeps the doors open...so to speak.  Some booths offer nothing but smalls.  Keeping the shelves full isn't always easy...but if you like the hunt like I like the hunt...well, that's half the fun!
