More Loot From The Worlds Longest Flea Market: The 127 Corridor Yard Sale. This Russel Wright Pitcher And Vari-point Lead Sharpener Are Just Two More Of The Stash Of Smalls I Nabbed. Status: Soon To Be Tagged.

I was REALLY hoping that I was going to be pulling into the driveway here at home on Sunday with a Focus wagon FILLED with awesome chairs, tables, lighting and such...but it just wasn't meant to be. Instead I'm having to be happy with a decent haul of smalls. I'm not disappointed but just a little underwhelmed. Still, compared to an average haul from the local fleas I did quite well!

It Is Officialy Flea Market Season Here In The Midwest And The Pickin' Juices Are Fully Flowin'! I've Only Made It To The Wentzville And Belleville Fleas Once Each Thus Far But I'm Already Suffering From The Proverbial Itch. The Dream? Brimfield. Gonna Make It This Year? Nope. Status: Vicarious Visit.

Scheduling.  It all comes down to scheduling.  We might have made it to Brimfield this year for the big Summer antique show and sale but the Girlfriend has a conference for work that starts like the last day of the show...and did I mention it's on the OTHER coast?  Maybe next year.  Until then, I'll just have to be satisfied with our own, much cheaper (and smaller) fleas...oh, and some videos I've found around the web!  Click through to check out the first in a series.  It's quite amazing!

After Loading Up A Craigs-find Sunday I Thought I'd Drop By The Goodwill On Cherokee Street...'Cept It Ain't A Goodwill, It's A Salvation Army. Not Open On Sunday, But Then I Found This Joint: Strange Overtones, Which Was A Bit Of Serendipitous Luck. Status: Gorgeous Goods..

I kind of accidentally found this place on Cherokee Street Sunday afternoon after failing to realize the thrift store I was hoping to pillage was, in fact...er, not open on Sundays.  Lucky me though, 'cuz this place is freakin' great!  Who needs a Restoration Hardware when you can get an eclectic mix of the Real Thing right down there on one of the most interesting boulevards in St. Louis.

Oh My, What A Bee-You-Tee-Full Saturday! We Got Up Early(ish) To Hit The Belleville Flea But First Got Sidetracked Down At The Green Shag Market. Did You Happen To Stop By And Check Out The "De-Flea" Market Going On In The Parking Lot? Status: Perfect Day For It!

20130921_104122

We didn't get to spend too much time here at The Green Shag Market or at the De-Flea Market since really I had just stopped by to drop off a chair and a lamp in my booth.  We took a quick look around the Animal Rescue support flea market and then hit the road for Belleville...then Springfield Il.!

There's More To 2nd Street In Frenchtown Old St. Charles Than Fleur De Lis - Home Source. Lots More! The Bayard Street Antique Mall Is But One Example Of Why You Should Come Down And Make A Day Of Olde St. Chuck! Status: Shopping Therapy!

20130914_140742

Saturday found Mr. Modtomic and the Girlfriend playing shop keep at Fleur De Lis in old St. Charles (or locally known as Frenchtown).  Since I was already in the neighborhood, I thought I'd take a little walk just down the street to the Bayard Street Antique Mall and shoot some photos for ya.

Did I Mention That The Randolph Street Market Had A WHOLE Another Indoor Selling Area? Wanna Check It Out? Click On Through My Friend! Status: Feel That AC!

That's right, if shopping out on the blacktop parking lot gets a little too warm you can always take a few minutes to shop the indoor vendors.  Two and a half floors of climate controlled vintage shopping fun!

Mr. Modtomic Is Blogcasting From The 2nd City This Evening After A Lovely Day At The Randolph Street Market Flea. I'm Doing So From The Cell Phone So I'm Gonna Keep This Brief, But Trust...It Was Worth The Five Hour Drive At 5 AM! Status: Explored!

20130824_110841

After watching an episode of Market Warriors on PBS that featured the Randolph Street Market in Chicago I got in my head that I just HAD to get up there and see this flea for myself. Good thing this is a monthly flea market. It didn't take long for the next one to roll around...and consequently here we are!

An Anonymous Reader Asked A While Back If I Might See What I Could Find In Pittsburgh PA. Sadly I Forgot About The Request Until Yesterday! Sorry, But Here Ya Go Anonymous, Hope You're Able To Snag Some Good Stuff! Status: Not My Turf!

Greetings from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - Large Letter Postcard

I used to hang out with a buddy years ago who told me a story about getting drunk in downtown Pittsburgh PA and wandering around all night until dawn trying to find his lost car. Good thing he got so drunk! Wouldn't have wanted him finding that car. I myself have never been, so this story is all I know about Pittsburgh: It's hard to find your car when ya been drinkin'.  But we ain't lookin' for our cars...we're looking for vintage modern goodness.

This Is What Happens When A Modtomitrist Starts Hanging Out In Antique Shops And Antique Malls And Buys Antique-y Stuff For His Mom's Part Of Their Shop! Status: Available!

IMG_20130719_125714

Uhhh...that ain't Modern OR Atomic age. What the What? 'Tis true, Mom-tomic has been such a bad influence on me! It's all good though, 'cuz when the craigs-gods fail to deliver an abundance of vintage modern upon me I can still find a good flip now and then.
