Decided To Take A Virtual Shopping Trip To Seattle WA Today. Looking For Some Bargains Up In The Northwest? Sure Ya Are! Status: Not My Turf!

Greetings from Seattle, Washington - Large Letter Postcard

I've only been to Washington state once.  It was beautiful!  We drove through a Giant Sequoia tree!  Really, if you've never been to the giant redwood forests...go.  Make it your Summer Roadtrip Vacation!  Plus, check out the Seattle C-list while you're up there, 'cuz I found some really good stuff just now.  Click through and take a look!

Mid Century Eames Bookcase / Room Divider - $250 (South Seattle, WA)

"Eames era bookcase/room divider. It is solid wood and heavy as hell. You don't see items like this pop up very often."

Pretty cool. I'd love to put a flat screen TV in there with my audio components and such on the bottom.

Dresser - $75 (Woodinville)

"Solid wood dresser. 3 drawers. Good condition. Measures 30 1/2" tall, 42" wide, and 18" deep. $75 cash."

I believe this is a Conant Ball / Russel Wright dresser!

China Hutch - $130 (Sammamish)

"China Hutch, Great condition. $130.00. "

Cool design. I've seen these around here before. I'm not a fan of the plinth base but if you don't have a lot of room this might be the one for you.

Pair Mod Lucite Mid Century Chairs - $50 (olympia)

"I am selling 2 Mod Mid Century Chairs. Great condition except for a few stains on the seats. Asking $30 each or $50 for the pair."

Just the pair but for $50? C'mon! That's a bargain!

Vintage Ames style desk chair - $60 (Ballard)

"Vintage desk chair from the 70s. Ames inspired design with cool pattern and chrome outlines. Swivels 360 does not tilt."

It's a nice Knoll / Pollok chair. "Ames"? I'm guessing that's supposed to be Eames! These don't seem to be highly sought after chairs...yet.

70's Ekornes Recliner and Ottoman - $175 (Greenlake)

"Early 70's Ekornes Stressless leather recliner with swivel base and matching ottoman. Leather is still in great shape barring one small tear about an inch long at the end of the left arm. Willing to negotiate on price."

These are super comfortable. I don't have one but I'm sure someday I will.

Danish Modern Couch - $50 (Lower Queen Anne)

"I bought this couch about four years ago with the intent of reupholstering the cushions and making it nice. I simply don't have the time to think about it. I also don't want to haggle, so I've priced it rather low."

This IS a bargain! This is the type of ad I live for. I regularly pick stuff like this up after work at 10pm or later for fear that if I wait for morning, it might be gone!

Pair Of Vintage Mid Century Modern Metal Patio Chairs - $50 (Ballard)

"Swank set of vintage mid century industrial mod metal folding patio chairs. Summer is coming. Dont get left without anywhere to sit outside. 50.00 for the set."

Often referred to as Salterini chairs but I'm not buying it. Still, pretty cool retro patio chairs!

Great table w/2leafs - $50 (Kenmore )

"Great wood table that folds on both ends and has 2more leafs to make a nice large table."

Nice! Heywood Wakefield drop leaf dining table.

White Leather Chrome Breuer Wassily Chair - $25 (Federal Way-near King Co Aquatic)

"White leather and chrome Marcel Breuer Wassily style chair. This is an older Wassily style chair. It is comfortable and structurally sound. It does still look good but, not perfect."

Another silly bargain! I've always wanted a couple of Wassily chairs. I love the simplicity of the design and how these are thought of as "mid century" but were designed in 1925!

Small Burke style Mid century Tulip Chair - $35 (Mountlake Terrace)

"No cracks or chips. Could use paint. Would be perfect for patio."

A few years ago I scored a bunch of these chairs. I stripped one and repainted and recovered the seat pad. It's easy and yields great results. Maybe you need a single for a desk? Oh, and I don't think it's Burke.

**Glass topped coffee table**funky and old - $45 (Gig Harbor/Narrows)

"This glass is very heavy. Measures 60" long and 23 1/2" wide and 1/2" thick. Has some small scratches and some chips off the edge."

You know what this is, right? I just picked up one a few days ago in a different configuration. It's an Adrian Pearsall design! I'd grab this right up.

Long Low Wooden Table - $20 (Shoreline)

"Long low very sturdy wooden table. It is about 6 ft long, about a foot and a half wide, and about a foot tall. It's very solid wood, heavy and super strong and sturdy. I'm not sure but I think it's oak or teak."

Well, I hope, if you live in the Seattle area, that you kept looking until the last ad here, 'cuz this one is the real deal. That, my friends, is a couple of hundred bucks worth of Edward Wormley bench. Would it be crazy to drive from St. Louis to get that? Yeah.....probably.
