Where Are They Now? Some Of The Lighting That Has Been On The Blog Before Never Made It Back Out Of The House. We Call These Keepers. Wanna See What They's Up To? Status: In Situ.

When last we saw this lamp I had just brought it home from the flea market and I didn't have a bulb for it.  I actually took the lamp with me to the hardware store to make sure I got the correct socket size...it was a weird one that I hadn't seen before.  Well, it kinda pokes out but I think it's supposed to!

This guy isn't really used as everyday lighting.  It actually stays right about here most of the time.  I

use it for extra light when shooting pics here in the foyer.  It's light and easy to move, at just about the

right height for lighting items on the table next to it and provides a good bright light that isn't too

harsh for photography.  So as cool as it is, right now it's stuck in utility mode!  At least now you can

see what it looks like with a bulb in it now!

The rescued rocket lamp.  I guess I've decided that it's a keeper.  I think it works nicely here in the

living room / cocktail lounge.  It kinda matches the style of the table it's sitting on a little bit.  Jeez,

one of these days we need to paint this joint.  Those builder white walls are buggin' me.

Just on the other side of the foyer you'll find the big Pearsall lighted globe.  It's looking good here,

filling a space that otherwise has been kinda awkward.  There's enough room for a chair here but

there's really no reason for a chair here.  I'm not sure that this will stay here forever but for now it's

the best place for it...and it's a place where everybody's gonna see it!

  1. while your lamp looks very molecular with the standard bulb...It think it was really supposed to have one like this. http://www.amazon.com/Satco-S3602-Stubby-Medium-40-Watt/dp/B000V54LJU but it could also look cool with a 10W coloured bulb too.

Just dont want to see all that cool stuff go up in flames.

Thanks for the link! The bulb I got was the only one that looked like it would fit but niw that I know what I'm looking for I'll give it another go. And molecule? I thought it looked more like a pimple (ew...I know)!
