Dropped By Old Time Pottery This Afternoon. You Don't Gotta Buy Vintage To Get Mid Century Style. Status: Here Today - Gone Tomorrow
Old Time Pottery gets lots of cool decor stuff but once it's sold out...that's it. Don't count on another shipment! Strike while the iron is hot! Seize the day!
Couple of warm days and out comes all the patio cushions! They Do get some good ones
though. The colors really pop. It's amazing how expensive these are, and Old Time Pottery is
very reasonable. But the cheapest thinnest ones are almost $10 each! These big plush ones
are much more than $10 each.
I always stop by the "remnants" table. This is all $4.99 a yard. There a lots of good deals in
here. Sometimes you find cool styles...sometimes not. The orange and yellow was good
lookin' but it was not upholstery material, plus there wasn't much of it.
You can find some really cool small lamp in here. I wish they had as many cool loose lamp
shades available, but they only have a small selection of smaller ones that aren't usually very
interesting.
Doesn't that top left set remind you of a Paul McCobb design? You can buy new and get a
vintage vibe! The top right set would look great on a dark cherry table kinda lending that
Ernest Hemingway feel.
So you can't find a big cool starburst clock? Toss that mirror in the upper left on yer wall 'til
you find it! The other two pics are more Ernest Hemingway type things, but I think I'd like to
have one of those short leather trunks for a hack project!
Hungry kitties and scared (soon to be angry?) birds!
Metal center pieces. I bought the second one. It reminds me of the work of Harry Bertoia. It'll
either be used as a mail "catch all" or out on the patio.
Lot's of ceramic, metal and glass vases. The colors on some of these are amazing!
Well...looks like times runnin' out. Gotta go to bed. Have a happy Tiki summer!
