Did Some "Shopping" Thursday...Took Some Pictures. Status: Didn't Bring Much Home.
Wow, that's a pretty cool subway poster! And Huge! And Josephine Baker is a St. Louis native! You'd have to have some pretty tall ceilings to display this. This and a number of other cool items were at the Treasure Aisle antique mall Thursday. I also found a couple of cool items at the Goodwill on N. Lindbergh that you might like.
Hey, that book caddie looks familiar! I almost snatched it up since it was only like
$6! I decided I have enough of these and left it for another luck / savvy buyer.
So $200 might seem pricey for the Goodwill, but this is REAL solid wood. Not
particle board or press board. This was probably bought new at House Of
Denmark or Dolnics. It probably cost a LOT more than two bills new.
And how about a sweet console stereo that could either be used as is or would be
a great candidate for a project. It would be a great flat panel TV stand and could
house all your audio gear!

You've got such great thrift stores in that area, I'm very envious! I want all that stuff, especially at those reasonable prices.
ReplyDeleteWow!!! there is so much there that I like! I wish I could go to thrift stores and antique malls like that more often!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you keep finding those book caddies. I've never even seen one! I'm beginning to believe you're right that something weird is going on and they're finding you! :)
ReplyDeleteUncle A - We are pretty lucky. Great job on the Tiki Stump!
ReplyDeleteFizzle - The good news is that there are enough of them here so that you don't end up seeing the same things over and over.
Dana - Spooky right!?!?
