While out running around this early afternoon (about as close as I get to morning) getting some errands done I managed to sneak a quick look through the local Goodwill and found not one, but TWO great sofa size vintage modern paintings. One's even a legendary Van Gaard!
I still get tons of hits on a previous couple of posts concerning Lee Reynolds and Van Gaard Studios
with readers wondering what their particular painting is worth. I tried to answer that question before
getting asked in the text of the post but I'm pretty sure that some folks just won't read. ::shrug::
That's all they're getting. That said, hey looky...A Van Gaard Studios sofa size painting! These big
vintage modern style paintings are becoming harder and harder to come by these days. I was just
lamenting this fact last evening and suddenly, Bam...a pair show up at the thrift!
This one I can't make out the "signature", but it sure is a gorgeous piece. I'm just loving the bold
color. And it's Paris...well, at least it's France. OK, I think it's France. There's some French writing
on some of the buildings. I mean, I guess it could be Canada...right? Probably not. Heck, it might
just be this intersection in gay Paris. Who knows. What I am positive about it that these two are
nicely filling the space vacated by a set of Curtis Jere autumn leaves that have recently found a new
home. Stuff be moving down there in Creve Coeur!
