Z'at Look Dangerous To Anyone Else? Makes Me Wonder If Anyone Has Ever Had To Have A Kromex Serving Dish Removed From Their Body At The Emergency Room. Full Body Shivers Aside, I Removed This One And A Nice Lot Of Taylor Smith Taylor Jamaica Bay From The Goodwill. Status: No Stitches Necessary!

Every good super mod host / hostess should have a couple of pieces of Kromex in their arsenal of serving pieces.  In my humble opinion, this is probably the coolest style out there.  And as far as "attainable" dinnerware goes, I don't think you can get much cooler that Jamaica Bay.  It's just the right mix of Atomic and Tiki.  Never seen it?  Click through to see the newest lot to be added to my collection!

More Smalls That Have Been Accumulating In The Back Of Frank. You Ever Do That? Find A Box Or Bag Of Goodies You Forgot About In The Car? Status: Bonus!

DSCN2837

Some of this stuff has only been in the back of Frank (the Focus Wagon) for a few days...OK, maybe a week, or two)...but some of it, dunno...maybe since last summer!  I was cleaning out the car for a roadtrip and brought all this inside...to make room for more!

I Know...My Posting Schedule Is All Wonky. Sorry...Work. Anywho, Got Some New China. Mitake And Taylor Smith Taylor In The Hizzle. Status: Better Late Than Never.

DSCN2737

This lot was acquired over the weekend.  The Jamaica Bay (Taylor Smith Taylor) came from the Goodwill and the Mitake China came from the Girlfriends Mom.  The TST goes on the pile with the rest of my collection (gotta thin that out soon) and the Mitake heads to the GSM booth.

Had To Spend A Little Time In My Booth At The Green Shag Market Today...And Yesterday. Stuff Got Sold And There's Gonna Be A News Crew Shooting There Wednesday Morning! Status: Restocked...Again!

DSCN1466

...And since I was there and had some time on my hands I thought I'd shoot some pics of some of the other vendors wares. Things must going great for lots of the vendors because I see things disappearing regularly.

Booth 125 - Treasure Aisle. A Brief Tour For Those Who Love The Smalls! Status: Always With The Good Stuff!

DSCN0247

Ah, the ubiquitous Primary Color Mixing Bowls!  Around here these are almost always, without fail, priced at $65 - $75.   Is this true of your area too?  It's like the gas stations and how they somehow all come up with about the same price for gas.  Weird, that.  But otherwise, this booth space ALWAYS has great retro kitchen smalls!

Even Though We Didn't Get Up At The Crack Of Dawn There Were Still Some Interesting Things At Wentzville. Status: Sunday Flea.

DSCN3005

Yup, the pickin's was slim and the weather was hot but it was a pretty day to just poke around a bunch of junk. Plus, I think the Girlfriend found a new collecting interest.

Eeez Jamaica Bay Mon! Jus A Leetle Somting Ta Tempt Ya To Da Deena Table. Status: Anybody Else Thirsty For A Red Stripe?.

DSCN2189

When I unearthed the box of Blue Heaven last week I found a bonus treasure inside. A big addition to my collection of Colorcraft Jamaica Bay dishware by Taylor, Smith & Taylor! This is a beautiful cousin to the Cathay line (which is mostly green) and the Moderne line (which substitutes the greens for browns). Note the other major difference being the colored ring that is conspicuously missing from the Jamaica Bay line.

Never mind that lil' bit of snow you see there, this place is warm and inviting! Better bring an empty car and fat wallet. You're gonna want to take LOTS of stuff home with ya! C'mon in, I'll show ya around.
