How could you possibly resist a beautiful art deco marque like this? I can't, can you?

Whew...the Braodway Antique Market is a BIG place. There are no places like this (sadly) in St. Louis. If you

are looking, in these final hours before the big day, for that most excellent gift for

a loved one...or yourself, you know...cuz you've been good right, this is where

you're gonna find it! And Check it out, there are SALE signs all over the place!

I myself found a beautiful Franciscan Autumn big salad bowl and one crescent

plate at a pretty good price. Then, as I was checking out, a booth owner came in

with 4 boxes of the Hazel Atlas Orchard snack trays (NIB)! I bought 2 of the boxes

before she could place them in her case. Score!  This place is just sick with

amazing treasures!

So, enough words, enjoy browsing the pics. Remember, you can click on any pic

and see a bigger version of it on my flickr page. Once there, click on the picture

again and when you get to the next page, click on "all sizes" in the upper right

corner to see the LARGEST version of the pic. Enjoy a "browse" around BAM!

  4. I think I died and went to MCM heaven. I would never want to leave that store. Yeah, I could actually just live there. Amazing - a must see if I'm in Chicago! Thanks for all the photos - torture!

  5. Sue - If you got a handful of cash and a day to dispose of BAM is just 5 (and a half ish) hours north of here! Plus there are a few other shops and antique malls near by. Oh...and the restaurants. ::sigh:: I recommend Heaven On Seventh if you like the spicy Cajun stuff!

Bandita - It's nice to know there are places nearly dedicated to the stuff we love, no? It is a pretty sizable joint. Since I was concentrating on the pics, I didn't really get to do my "digging" like I normally do. I didn't even spot the Franciscan pieces I purchased. The Girlfriend found them and dragged me over!

RetroR - I bet if you gave them a holler about something you see in any of the pics, BAM would be more than happy to give you a price and a shipping quote!

Hunting T - It is pretty great. They also sometimes have some select pieces on Chicago Craigslist.

Rhan - I didn't see a fridge or range anywhere...I guess you'd just have to have pizza and Chinese delivered. I didn't see a TV either. I'm pretty committed to the retro theme but I gotta have my TV and DVDs!

  9. I used to live right by Broadway Antique Market. I remember lazy Saturday mornings after breakfast wandering up there and just strolling around.
