We Just Got Home From A Weekend Visit To Nashville. We Went For The Big Flea Market And One Of My Good Finds Was This Eames Secretarial Task Chair. These Are Kinda Rare...And This Is My Second! Status: Incomplete.

It looks pretty good in the pics but the fabric is still pretty dirty and unfortunately it's missing it's vinyl trim that surrounds the seat.  Still, it's super rare and in good shape otherwise.

Last Night We Decided To Try The Dinner Menu At Rooster On Grand. Since We Were Mere Footsteps From Rocket Century, A Visit With Proprietor Kristina Seemed Like A Good Idea. Shot A Little Video While Hanging Out. Status: Perused.

I've Featured The Treasure Aisle Antique Mall Before, But Something Was A Little Different This Time. There Just Wasn't Quite The Selection Of Vintage Modern That I've Come To Expect This Time Around. Still, For A Midwest Antique Mall...It's Not Too Shabby A Place To Shop. Status: Change Of Vendors?

I'm not sure if there a just a number of new vendors or if the current crew are changing their tune, but the stock of what WE like to find seemed kinda thin at Treasure Aisle this visit.  I'm hoping it's not a trend.

This Rather Pedestrian Looking Pair Of Square Tables Found Their Way To The Back Of Frank Wednesday Night After Work. Why You Ask? Two Names: Eames & Miller! Status: Available.

If not for the ridiculously low asking and the odd shape (I've never seen square tops before) I might have passed on this pair.  Plus, the seller had other interested parties.  But, I got a call back from him and we made arrangements.  Couldn't back out after that.

What On Earth Do You Plan On Doing With THAT...Is What Keeps Running Through My Head. This Is One Of The Longest Production Herman Miller / Eames Segment Table Bases And I Don't Have A Top For It. But, That Leaves Me With A Number Of Possibilities! Status: Brainstorming.

Not too many people have the kind of dining space that can accommodate a table that would sport a 76" base.  The top that would have come with this from Herman Miller would have been either 94 1/2" or 107 3/4".  That would be a nearly 8 or 9 ft. table.  The good news is that this base is modular...and modifiable.

I Spent My Saturday Evening Power Cleaning These Black And Stainless Steel "BRNO" Chairs With My New (To Me!) Bissel Little Green Pro Heat Machine And This Afternoon Dropping Off Them And An Eames Segment Base Table At My Booth In The Creve Coeur Antique Mall. Status: Available!

How monochromatic is that?  Nothing but silver, black and grey.  Well, it ain't like it's a set.  Each piece can be had separately and mixed / matched with some of the other chairs / tables I have, you might find elsewhere in the mall or maybe you have at home.

Yeahhhahhaha... That's What I Like To See! Cuz That Booth Rent Ain't Gonna Pay Itself. Mr. Modtomic Has Been Given A Warm Welcome Out In West County At The Antique Mall Of Creve Coeur. Status: Feelin' Pretty Good.

Yup, I like seeing those "Sold" tags on stuff.  I came in this weekend to find FOUR of 'em on some sizable pieces.  You guys know how to put a big ol' grin on a Mister's mug!  Some of these items had JUST been dropped off!

...And Finally, The Swag From The Midway Antique Mall! I Only Journeyed To Mid-Missouri For One Dresser, But Returned Home With A Car Load! Status: Nice Haul.

The last item I found at the Midway Antique Mall was this Moe Honeycomb pendant lamp.  It's in remarkably good shape, having no appreciable scratches or any cracks in that beautiful golden orange honeycomb cone.

At First I Was Hesitant To Purchase This Rug Because McDuff The Fluff Can Make Such A Mess Of Such Things, But The Girlfriend Suggested I Could Easily Flip It In The Booth. After Shooting These Pics Though, I Think I'll Be Keeping It...Silly Cat Or Not. Status: Keeper.

Love that cat to death, but boy can he make a mess. That fat boy yacks on everything. Well, everything at floor level. At least he ain't yacking on the furniture...yet. So dropping a pretty shag rug in front of his mug might not be the best idea, but we're gonna try it out and see what happens.

A Few Weeks Ago The Girlfriend, Some Other Friends And I Went To The Theater To See Ender's Game. Yeah, I Read The Book (The Girlfreind Made Me A While Back) But I'm Cool With It Being Different. Status: Can't Wait For The DVD.

I Love big block buster movies!  Yeah, there's a lot of haters out there who quote all differences but c'mon...  Truth is, I didn't exactly memorize the book, so I don't even know what they are going on about.  I just thought it was a freakin' cool flick!  But what was even cooler...

Today I Picked Up A Great Table Base That I Initially Thought / Hoped Was A Florence Knoll Design...But Alas, Close But No Cigar. Still, It Was Attractive Enough To Bring Home. Status: Gone Topless.

I spotted this on craigslist last night, but you know how crappy craigslist photos can fool ya...especially when you are really trying to be fooled.  Oh how I wanted this to be a Knoll table base.  The seller insisted that it is a Herman Miller base, but I find this attribution dubious.

Like I said yesterday, I've been working like a mad man clearing out the living spaces here at the Modtomic Ranch. I just managed to get about 95% done this morning before heading off to work. Alas, I had little time to actually clean and de-clutter before the Girlfriend's big All Girl Party.
