Even though the antique mall and I have been "open" for weeks now, September 1st is supposed to be the REAL opening...but since they have been having so many customers every day they've been "open" so far, the owners have decided to forgo a "Grand Opening".

There's Something Magical About Finding Not Only A Matched Pair Of 3 Way Vintage Lamps But Also Their Matching Matched Pair Of Lamp Shades. That Was Kind Of A Mouth Full! Status: Gone!

Yeah, I KNOW!  Number Four and Five!  What?  You haven't been keeping count?  I have found three other lamp bases JUST like these, though none have had the original shades with them.  One has already found a new home and the other two are waiting for new shades.

Yes Indeed, It HAS Been Too Long. How About Another Vintage Modern Shop Tour? While In Chicago Over Thanksgiving We Paid A Visit To An Orange Moon, An Amazing Independent Shop Filled With All Manner Of Beautiful Treasure. Status: Awaiting Your Visit.

Yeah, you may have noticed a slight change of posting schedule lately. Mr. M just hasn't had the wear with all and or time to keep up with daily posting lately. Rest assured, I'm not abandoning you, my loyal readership...but we're both gonna have to adjust our expectations. Daily blogging is tough! Last Night We Decided To Try The Dinner Menu At Rooster On Grand. Since We Were Mere Footsteps From Rocket Century, A Visit With Proprietor Kristina Seemed Like A Good Idea. Shot A Little Video While Hanging Out. Status: Perused.

It's a lovely lamp.  And it works as designed.  Flip the switch...lumens emerge, unlike that little retro light I featured a couple days ago.  It still needs to be fixed before I can let it go.  This big beauty?  It's ready to go!

Not Everything Mr. M Finds Is A Polished Gem. Sometimes These Items Are A Diamond In The Rough. This Pearsall Style Slat Coffee Table Is A Perfect Example. Excellent Bones, Needing A Little Love. Status: Project.

From this angle the coffee table looks pretty darn good.  Amazing what you can achieve with photography.  Alas, this fella wants for some refinish work.  Just gotta decide which path to take.

What's On The Table For Today? Another Table. This Is Just Another Part Of The Lot That I Picked Up Over The (Long Arduous) Weekend. Between Storms Today I Was Able To Clean It Up And Get Some Shots. Status: Available.

I might not have normally picked up a table like this at an estate sale or thrift unless it was dirt cheap but I just couldn't bear the thought that it might have ended up in a dumpster. This literally was (with a few exceptions) an everything goes sale!

Ah, Finally. I'm Able To Shoot And Edit Decent Video...And I Didn't Spend A Dime. I - Am - So - Cheap! Just Downloaded Microsoft Movie Maker. It Edits The MP4 Files My Phone Uses To Store HD Video. So Let's Look At Booth 307 Again...This Time In REAL Video. Status: Better.

C'mon, yeah it's kind of a re-run, but it's a much improved re-run!  Of course, I've still got lots to learn and more improvements will come, but at least you'll be able to see some detail now.  So come on in and check out Booth 307...again!

The Weekend Provided Such Beautiful Weather That We Got Our Butts Up Early And Hit The Flea Market. Didn't Find Much But I Did Bring Home This Great Set Of Decorative Cat Plaques. Status: Wanting Some Rattle Can Love.

Yep, I put together another video today.  I'm still working with the same hardware and software, but I'm getting better at putting it all together.  I did a little research today and looked at some new cameras online.  Maybe sometime soon I'll have a better quality product to present.

I found a set of cushions at the Goodwill a few days ago and had to pull this Danish Lounge Chair frame out of the garage to see if they'd work.  Verdict?  Mixed results.  Click through to check out a video!
