At First I Was Hesitant To Purchase This Rug Because McDuff The Fluff Can Make Such A Mess Of Such Things, But The Girlfriend Suggested I Could Easily Flip It In The Booth. After Shooting These Pics Though, I Think I'll Be Keeping It...Silly Cat Or Not. Status: Keeper.

Love that cat to death, but boy can he make a mess. That fat boy yacks on everything. Well, everything at floor level. At least he ain't yacking on the furniture...yet. So dropping a pretty shag rug in front of his mug might not be the best idea, but we're gonna try it out and see what happens.

This beautiful shag rug popped up on craigslist just before we left the house to run some errands Saturday afternoon. The ad had been up for about 3 hours already and I wasn't sure if it was such a deal that maybe it had already gotten snatched. A few hours later, just moments after finishing our dinner at TGIF, I got a call from the seller (who, it turns out, I had purchased from before!) and we drove straight over to pick up the rug. The timing couldn't have been better. It was even small enough rolled up that it easily fit into the back of the Girlfriend's Fiesta.

So today, after rolling it out here in the living room, I realized just what a PERFECT rug this was in here. It effortlessly ties the brown Chiclet sofa to the Orange Gondola sofa. The glass top coffee table further shows off the great colors and the lengthwise lines that tie the pair of Le Corbusier style lounge chairs together. I don't know if I could be any happier with this serendipitous design win! Hopefully Larry McDuff will find it in his little kitty heart to respect the rug enough not to soil upon it with his yacking!
