If this was a larger size (it's about 3' X 5') I'd throw it under our dining table or in the living room but as it stands, I'm just not sure I've got a good place for it.  That said, it's hard to let go of such a great Rya rug.  These aren't exactly a dime a dozen!

Rusty gold?  Like the American Pickers say?  Maybe not.  More like chippy paint silver.  But they're in great structural condition...just needing seats and cushions.  These appear to be an older version of the set that I featured here before.

We Just Got Home From A Weekend Visit To Nashville. We Went For The Big Flea Market And One Of My Good Finds Was This Eames Secretarial Task Chair. These Are Kinda Rare...And This Is My Second! Status: Incomplete.

It looks pretty good in the pics but the fabric is still pretty dirty and unfortunately it's missing it's vinyl trim that surrounds the seat.  Still, it's super rare and in good shape otherwise.

We Made Our First Flea Market Visits Of The Season Last Weekend. It Being So Early In The Season, It Was No Surprise We Didn't Come Home Overloaded With Goodies. Still, This Little Double Gooseneck Desk Lamp Was A Nice Find. Status: Gone.

This Classically Beautiful Maison Jansen Rocking Chair Was A Wreck When I Found It In Kansas City, But A Quick Polish Of The Chrome And A Long Stay With Mr. Swift The Upholsterer For The Seating Surfaces Breathed New Life Into This Formerly Forlon Gem. Sweet weekend score, right?!  Have you ever seen a set like this before?  I've only seen a piece similar to this at An Orange Moon in Chicago, but that was a buffet and while it did have a similar base, the details were different.  No markings in the drawers for ID on it either.

Yup, the Polar Vortex has gone home for the year (we hope) and the sub freezing days with it.  This whole week it's been fantastic here in St. Louis.  Sunday was the criagslist bonanza day for me last weekend.  Along with the Drexel chest I featured a couple days ago I managed to bring this beautiful set of Eames Shell Stackers home too.

I've Got Real High Hopes For This Endeavour. I'm Not Totally Sold...Yet, But They Are Saying All The Right Things So Far. Spring Is Just Around Corner So We'll See How The St. Louis Swap Meet Turns Out Pretty Soon! Status: Anticipation!

I SO want to get excited about this, but having been right in the middle of the mid 90s thru mid 00s local music boom here in St. Louis, and watched great band after great band fail to get any traction in the wider market...I just can't bring myself to hold my breath.  But I hope I'm wrong!

I Had Friday Off Work And Took The Opportunity To Check A Half Dozen Or So Thrifts, Coming Home Mostly Empty Handed. Then Saturday I Tried The Estate Sale Scene And Scored A Little, But Sunday Was The REAL Breaking Of The Ice. Status: Available.

It's been ages since the last time I picked up some nice bedroom pieces and even longer since finding any Drexel to offer in either of the booths.  I've been itching to get some dressers and chests in the both and this Drexel Profile chest is perfect since it can be either a chest of drawers OR a dining room bar!

There's Something Magical About Finding Not Only A Matched Pair Of 3 Way Vintage Lamps But Also Their Matching Matched Pair Of Lamp Shades. That Was Kind Of A Mouth Full! Status: Gone!

Yeah, I KNOW!  Number Four and Five!  What?  You haven't been keeping count?  I have found three other lamp bases JUST like these, though none have had the original shades with them.  One has already found a new home and the other two are waiting for new shades.

Other than not having much to talk about here on the blog, I'm not too bummed with the recent dry spell I've been having.  I've GOT to start moving some of the accumulation that has been building up around here, and when I don't have MORE coming in...well, it just makes it easier to concentrate on the stock on hand.  That said, I certainly ain't ignoring the "traps"!

When you spot a Lightolier at the thrift store, it comes home with you...even if it is this tiny little desk telescope eyeball thing missing its bulb. Problem is, I think it may be missing a little bit more than just the bulb.
