Well, I'm pretty sure the Girlfriend would Prefer I collected...ok, horded...mmmm, no no no...Curated(!) this size vintage modern furniture. But alas, wish in one hand, watch it rain in the other and see which fill up faster. Status: piqueing my interest.

This all started with a Marx steel doll house I spotted at an antique mall near Cuba Mo.

Look at the big kittie!!! This was HARD to buy, you have no idea. I've been scoping Danish cat sculptures for a while. I've avoided buying any of them since I know where this is going to lead.

Googie: Modernism as defined by the space age, the atomic age, and shapes such as the atom and boomerangs. Status: jus' chillin.

So I find myself describing a lot of the items I have to people as Googie or Googie influenced. More often than not I then have to try to explain what little even I know of Googie. It's kinda one of the "I know it when I see it" things.

Yet another great stash of Mid Century furnishings looking for a new home. Plus the place is right in the middle of "antique row".

This is the Chair I picked up last weekend at the Belleville Flea Market. I'm wondering what style it might be attributed to. Status Update: Identified!

The only marking is a tag on the bottom from Lammerts Furniture Store here in St. Louis.

Mod light sconce. Brutalist style in the manor of Paul Evans. A craigslist find that matches my Brasilia dining set beautifully! Status: Bagged and Tagged

So I still don't know who the manufacturer is and while it is definitely in the Brutalist style and reeks of Paul Evans, it's not quite fine enough for me to comfortably attribute it to him.

Time for a FONDUE party! Is this not the most Grand fondue set EVER? Status: Looking for a loving home.

This big guy is a party waiting to happen. The six glass dishes sit on a rotating wood base. It's been used but is in great condition.

Mix a Little Elbow Grease, a rag and some Antique Finish Restorer...and you get another Before & After! Status: Better but not finished yet.

I picked this little table up at the same time I acquired the four "pod" chairs in Belleville.  It was cheap and I thought I might be able to do something with it.  Problem is, I'm me.

Readin' and Picture Lookin' materials found @ thrift store & flea mkt. Status: Being studied by TOP scientists.

I found the "Modern Retro" book at the thrift store just down the street for just $1.91 + tax! Score! The vintage home magazines were picked up at the flea mkt. over the weekend, 6 for $5.00.

Part of our little shopping adventure Saturday was a stop by this joint! Status: Hidden Treasure!!!
