Cool Stuff @ The Salvation Army That I Didn't Buy! Status: Languishing In The Basement.

SSPX2312

This American of Martinsville five drawer dresser looks so cool in Gloss Black with a Gloss White top. It was just a little too pricey at $75 for me to bring it home.

Time To Check Out Another Cool Shop Here In St. Louis. Retro 101. Status: Schoolin' Us In Retro

SSPX2308
After a pretty good morning getting rid of things in the Garage and an EPIC FAIL while trying to load a large oval smoke glass table top (earned a nice future scar for my stupid effort) I made a little trip to Retro 101 in the Cherokee Street Vintage Shopping Area.

Before And After Time! Eh, Just Some Pics Of The New Sofa In The Spare Bedroom Really. Status: Full Day's Project.

Guest Bedroom - Big Brown "Sectional" & Polished Stone Mosaic Table

Top is After, Bottom is Before. It took me all day to get the two "old" sofas and bookcase out of here and the two "new" sofas and bookcase in. That bookcase barely made it through the door...and barely fits!

Where's Eero? Please Tell Me You "Get It". Status: Diamond In The Rough?

DSCN9189

Yes my friends, that is an Eero Saarinen (designed the Gateway Arch!) executive chair by Knoll stuffed in there. It might be coming home with me tomorrow along with a half dozen of his buddies!

Paint By Numbers...The Great Equalizer? Art For The Everyman? Art...For Thee Peoples! Status: Eez Good Comrad.

DSCN9175

What could be More American than a Paint By Numbers Painting? OK, so maybe we aren't a nation of Do It Yourselfers Anymore, but it seems like we once were.

(100th Post!) Two Of The Cool "Finds" From Unique Thrift Store. Status: A. Needing Little TLC - B. Needing Info

DSCN9154

This Triptych set was found at Unique Thrift the other day. I kinda hemmed and hawed over their purchase. I just wasn't sure about them. I'm glad I bought them.

Cool New Retro Coasters from the French Market in New Orleans. Status: Lookin' Good

DSCN9151

I usually stroll through the French Market in New Orleans just to do the "touristy" thing and maybe pick up a T-shirt or two, some sunglasses and a new wallet.

How To Create an Ad Like Mine! Status: feeling generous.

I get e-mails from time to time asking how I'm able to put so many pictures in my ads when Craigslist only gives you the option for Four total pics. I'm happy as a clam to help anybody out I can. It really sucks seeing the same seller with 15 or 20 ads taking up half a page of a Search. I don't know if having all my stuff in just 2 ads is a selling advantage or not but it sure makes it easier on me! I DO know that having crisp clear Pics that the buyer can click on to see larger pics IS an advantage.

Got Off Work Early Today and Stopped By the Salvation Army Thrift Store. Found a Nice China Cab. Status: Service With A Smile!

01

Sorry for the poor image quality. Bad lighting coupled with a camera phone equals, well...this. I assure you, besides the minor damage to this piece, the china cabinet is quite striking (as well as VERY reasonably priced!).

How NOT to Inquire about a Craigslist Ad. Status: Denied

Today I received an inquiry about the Vitra Verner Panton "S" chairs that I have available on my Craigslist ads. I found these chairs a few weeks ago on Craigslist somewhat under priced. I usually wait a little longer than a month to re-list an item. What follows is why.

Lovin' Me Some Green Lamps People! Cuz All the Good Things in Life Are Green...like Pesto....and Money. Status: Ambient

DSCN9012

I'm not sure how I ended up with so many Green Lamps. I don't really collect by design so much. I just buy what strikes me.

Feelin' Kinda Bluesy Today, Well..Blue and Gold Anyway. Wanna See Some of My Glassware? Status: Lookin' to get Filled.

DSCN8924

This is a Big Ol' snack bowl that I procured from the Big Bend Antique Mall. I got the cool blue and gold drink glasses behind it from the same place. Pretty cheap too.

There are Gonna Be a Number Of "New Orleans" Posts Over The Next Few Days. This Is My Kinda French Quater Shop. Collectible Antiques on Decatur. Status: French Quarter Treasure Hunt!

DSCN8756

Oooh, I do love to dig through a shop that is just packed full of all crazy whatnots! Bonus...it's in the French Quarter of New Orleans! When you've had enough you can walk across the street and get a Hurricane or a Bloody Mary!

Picked Up Some Goodies in the French Quarter. It's Not The Bargain Capitol of the World, Being Able to Recognize Russel Wright Under a Thick Layer of Dust Helps! Status: Added to the China Cab.

DSCN8892

This is all Russel Wright Iroquois Casual China. It was stuck inside a wooden fruit crate turned on it's side under a layer of dust in an under lit Junque shop in the French Quarter. Mr. Modtomic LOVES a challenge!

Fresh Back From the Big Easy! Had a Great Time. Check out one of My Favorite Shops in New Orleans Called Neophobia. Status: Very Far From (my) Home!

DSCN8693

I absolutely LOVE this shop! I have to stop in at least once every time I make it to New Orleans. They have the coolest stuff you'll ever find. I wish I could take it all home with me...but then the whole house would look like the Garage!!!
