Just By Happenstance We Found Another Savers Thrift Over The Weekend. Just Like Last Time We Arrived To Find A Grand Opening. And Once Again We Found Some Good Stuff. Status: Two New Traps!

I was actually headed to a Goodwill in South County that I don't get to very often when I noticed a new Savers.  I actually passed by it and had to do some creative driving to get back to it as the road was separated by a concrete divider.  But where there's a thrift, there's a way.

Between Dropping Off Peter Protzman Chairs At The Antique Mall And Picking Up And Delivering A Full Danish Dining Set At The Shop In Frenchtown I Managed To Find A Beautiful Pair Of Manhattan Glass Platters! Status: Tagged / Available!

The Manhattan pattern by Anchor Hocking seems to have only been produced between 1938 and 1943.  They must have very very large amount of these pieces...because I seem to see find it alot!  Case in point...I picked up a pair of platters just this weekend.  Looking for some fabulous art deco style depression era glass?  Stop by Frenchtown in St. Charles and check these out!

As Luck Would Have It I Found Another Set Of Mirror Finish Dorothy Thorpe Style Rocks Glasses. I Didn't Drop Them At Fleur De Lis But I Shot The Pics There Cuz I Needed To Clean Up The Eames Table. Status: Mission Accomplished.

Isn't that a great shot of these glasses?  I almost wanna use that or something like it for my next new header.  So yeah, got lucky at the Goodwill and picked up this set of six flashy rocks glasses.  I'll probably be dropping them in the booth (#5) at The Green Shag Market shortly.

Craigslist Was Good To The Mister This Weekend! I Scored This Beautiful Broyhill Brasilia Side Table As Well As The Jacobsen Series 7 Reproduction Chairs. Status: Available.

This fine end table was yet another lucky craigslist find this weekend.  I've got lots of Broyhill Brasilia furnishings in the house and have bought and sold plenty more, but this is the first pedestal base Lamp Table I've come across.

I spotted these chairs a couple of weeks ago on craigslist and kept forgetting to call about them on the weekends.  I finally got around to it this afternoon and was delighted to find that these six chairs just listed as office kitchen stuff (make offer) were in fact West Elm!

Once again, burning the midnight oil at the shop.  It had to be done.  Night before last I spotted this beautiful Conant Ball Danish style sofa on craigslist around 10pm.  The seller included a cryptic phone number so I went ahead and decoded and called it.  No answer at first but I struck paydirt on my second try!

I've been looking around craigslist for about a week hoping to find some decent rugs at a cheap price for the shop.  Nothing worth sending an e-mail over showed up, but today I stopped by Garden Ridge to see if they had any more good upholstery material remnants.  Guess what, they got tons of rugs!

Got Down To The South Side Thrifts Today. No Major Haul But I Found A Few Goodies. Some Days Are Better Than Others. Status: Smalls Haul.

I stopped by The Shag this evening to drop off the other Protzman / Miller arm chair and a trio of stacking Formica topped tables, pay my rent and pick up my check but took a little look around and pulled out the camera.  Too many good new wares to not take some pics and share.

When last we visited the Lane dining chair that I was cleaning up (to pair with the Broyhill Saga desk at the shop) it looked about like this.  I had cleaned up the frame and stripped off the upholstery but hadn't gotten any further.  When I got home from work this evening I decided it was time to dig in.

I was at the new shop yesterday afternoon hanging some artwork when our first cash in hand buyer walked right in that front door.  I'm not certain but I'm pretty sure I sold the first item!  The Franciscan Salt and Pepper Shakers are officially Gone!  The buyer also gave the Drexel Profile dining set a good looking at and I expect it to be gone soon to as it's garnered quite a bit of interest lately.

Last summer the Girlfriend and I had the pleasure of spending our summer vacation in the North East but we didn't get This far up!  The Girlfriend actually used to live way up here for a while.  I've never been.  Maybe in a few years we'll make another trip this way and I'll get to see it all for myself.  Until then, I'll just check out their craigslist!
