Looking For Some Swanky Style In Atlanta GA? Maybe Not But Surely You're Curious! Let's See What Kinda Trouble We Can Get Up To In The Deep South. Status: Not My Turf!
Pour yerself a cold glass of ice tea and join me on the porch swing...but bring yer laptop so's we can take a good lookin' at the stylish bargains to be had on Craigslist - Atlanta GA.
I was so busy finding a new home for a Broyhill Brasilia dining table, cleaning the gutters, buying this fancy new PC (Lenovo G540) All In One Desktop and having some yummy crepes in Clayton that I never got around to shooting anything for the blog today! So you get another "Not My Turf" instead of my regular post.
Solid Wood Guest Chairs - $30 (Dallas, Ga)
"$30 each or $50 for both. Banker's chairs; medium cherry wood finish. Unique design and very comfortable. One black fabric; one flower print fabric. One seat cushion has been recovered. It's still black underneath the flower print."
They are sort of just office guest chairs, but they are SO unusual. I've never seen this type of chair with
such style! Love 'em.
Small solid wood bookshelf book shelf good condition - $15 (Dunwoody)
"Here is a solid bookshelf. Call Jim at 678-421-XXXX to see all my antiques, furniture, and household items. I list new items every Sunday."
I see these sell on eBay for upwards of $100 shipping additional! $15 is a bargain, even if you have to
refinish it.
8 ft Herman Miller Eames Table - $500 (West Midtown)
"Great for an office! Must sell asap. Buyer must pick up and pay cash. Call or text 404-988-XXXX."
$500 might seem kinda pricey but look closely...no vinyl edge. This is a TRUE wood top, not Formica. Not
just hard to find, but REALLY expensive new. This, if you have the room, would make an amazing dining
room table.
Cool Retro Kitchen Chairs - $35 (Woodstock)
"4 RETRO METAL CHAIRS FRESHLY PAINTED WITH RUSTOLEUM OIL PAINT IN A COOL STEEL GRAY. SEATS RECOVERED WITH NEW TRENDY FABRIC. GREAT DEAL@ $35.00 EACH OR MAKE OFFER."
These aren't really "Kitchen" chairs. They're actually Homecrest patio dining chairs. I've got a set of them
myself.
OFFICE LOBBY CHAIRS - $45 (ATLANTA DOWNTOWN WEST END)
"OFFICE LOBBY CHAIRS FOR SALE....VERY CLASSY!!! $45.00 EACH....FOR MORE INFORMATION CALL 404.606.XXXX"
These chairs are a Bill Stephens design for Knoll...but they haven't really caught on yet. They still don't
command big bucks so you can get a great design that's got Knoll quality for a bargain price, even off
eBay.
SOFA CONTEMPORARY-LEATHER - $99 (ATLANTA)
"White sofa in good condition."
That is a crumby photo. I hope the sofa looks better in person. I'd take a chance and at least see it in
person.
Large dresser with mirror - $75 (Sugar Hill)
"For sale is a large cherry colored dresser with mirror. Dresser has solid wood drawer construction. Minor wear and tear on top of dresser. Dresser has tons of storage and has an attractive, retro design. Dresser is available for pick-up in Sugar Hill near GA20 and Suwanee Dam Road."
That's a classy looking dresser. Looks like it's in great shape too.
TWO BEAUTIFUL LEATHER CHAIRS,VERY STRONG,PUT ANYWHERE - $200 (EAST COBB/MARIETTA)
"SEE THE PHOTOS AND YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE THE DEAL FOR THE TWO STURDY CHAIRS WITH LEATHER AND STEEL COMBINATION WHICH IS EXPENSIVE IN MARKET! GRAB THE DEAL FOR $200 FOR BOTH."
I've seen these a lot. There were a couple at the Ivey Selkirk Modernism auction last year and I see them
in the lobby of some lofts downtown but I still don't know who designed or made them. They look super
cool though.
Retro Hanging Light - $15 (Gainesville)
"Very cool retro looking light that you can hang wherever you like. I used it over my office desk but it doesn't match my new decor."
Stick a red or green bulb in there and hang it in the corner of your media room for some atmosphere!
Barcelona Chair - needs work - $200 (East Atlanta)
"I have a replica Barcelona chair and ottoman for sale. Full disclosure, this chair is not in great condition and needs some repairs as you can see in the photos. I've repaired the straps once a few years ago and I don't want to deal with it so the first $200 takes it. Price is firm, cash only."
You'll love it even more since you had to pop the hood and give it a tune up yourself.
The small book shelf is actually an encyclopedia bookcase, probably made for World Book in the 60s. They are quite sturdy, great for holding art books and such. They would be an easy flip at $100, as the size is ideal for cookbooks.
ReplyDeleteGreat finds! I want to suggest Pittsburgh as your next "not my turf"
