While this 6 drawer dresser and mirror is quite nice it wasn't what drew me to this set at the Florissant Salvation Army. It's part of a multi piece set that, while a bit scarred up, is definitely priced right.
It might not be perfect but for a nice, classy, USABLE set it makes the grade. If I had the room
I'd have picked it up to flip at the Green Shag Market! I think I know someone down in Florida
who would take this well built set and bring it back to it's former glory. Wish I had those skills
and patience!
Those amazing night stands are what grabbed my attention! Check out the neat little slide out
extension they each have! The set has been around. Check out how the chrome has wore off
the handles revealing what looks to me to be copper below. I've heard of some items being
copper plated before getting chromed. I can't imagine the handles themselves are made of such
a soft metal. I'm not much of a fan of full size beds but it is complete with matching side rails.
And this nice looking, reasonably priced, danish style desk was at the Florissant Goodwill.
Check out those neat wood handles. Looks like Peter Hvidt don't it? It totally ain't but it still
has the neat looks. Such is the greatness of copy / paste! You can afford Peter Hvidt (ish)
style on a thrift store budget!
Yeah, it's got a laminate top. It's not high end. Some of the drawer faces need to be straightened
up. But the desk looks like it was made to last. And $25? Where ya gonna get a cool looking
desk anywhere else for that price?!
I'll be honest, I've been trying to stay away from the blonde/pickled furniture, however this set may have been a bit irresistable for the price! Thanks for the link and I know you saw what I did to the 50's atomic chest and dresser.

This set was a major pain to do, but sometimes you just have to put the effort in to save. Both pieces have already found an appreciative new home and that's the reason I do what I do. Well, along with trying to pay the bills! I likely would have picked up both the bedroom and the desk despite the work involved! Keep up the great posts!
