I hope nobody thought I was pissing and moaning about my weekend the last couple of days.  I had a great weekend.  Well, I napped through a lot of it, but hanging out Saturday morning with like minded crazies was pretty fun and I made some new and interesting acquaintances.

I called. I called ahead. I had to work Sunday morning (ugh) and was downtown so when I got done I thought I'd finally go shoot some pics of this shop for the blog. I got their number from an ad they had on Craigslist and got their hours from the recording. Sunday - Noon to 5pm. Not...so...much.

I picked up these lamps down in Memphis at the Antique Warehouse Mall antique mall. This set was one of the coolest things I found there. Finding a single one like these would have been pretty great...finding a matched pair was certainly a coup!

Just one of the many cool vintage roadside signs that still dot the landscape of America's two lane blacktops. This one is in Florence SC on the way to Myrtle Beach.  I fear it won't be there long as the property is for sale.  Gotta shoot these things while we can!

Found Hanging Out In A Rural Roadside Flea Market, F D B Mobler / Folke Palsson Dining Chairs. Status: Not Too Shabby, Considering!

Yeah, I pulled these from a hot dusty little "shop" in Fosters Flea Market. They didn't have a tag on them so I offered twenty bucks for the pair. The guy manning the shop (not the actual shop keep) tried to call the actual seller but couldn't get through. He finally countered with $25 but all I had was $23. So $23 put them in the back of Frank Jr.

I picked these two SX 70 Polaroid cameras at two different roadside flea markets in North Carolina while on vacation. I know they aren't in great shape but I've seen some cool SX 70s that have been "redecorated".

We discovered this place quite by accident a few years ago. We were driving to the east coast without a destination in mind, taking random east bound two lane blacktop roads when we passed through Cherokee North Carolina. There are lots of little towns like this all through the Smoky Mountains so it was just pure luck that we found this place!

Yeah, we totally lucked into finding the Antique Warehouse Mall in Memphis TN. We were just winding up our vacation and accidentally drove through Memphis. The Girlfriend had talked me into staying overnight in the area and while we were absorbing the last of cable TV we'd be enjoying for a while when I found this place on the internet.

Found A Pair Of Sascha Brastoff Dishes At The Fosters Flea Market As Well. Oh And ANOTHER Set Of S / P Shakers For The Girlfriend. Status: Fosters Was Ripe For Pickin!

Five bucks. Not to shabby, right? Sascha Brastoff designed tidbit plates. I love the finish too. Not to mention they fit nicely with my Tiki sensibilities!

We were actually trying to find a white water rafting company that could fit us in without a reservation when we stumbled upon this roadside outdoor (mostly) flea market in rural North Carolina called Fosters Flea Market.  Picking or possible Rafting....hmmmm.  The flea market won out.
