This doesn't really "go" with most of what you'll see here but my mom rocks at turning a humble wood box into a beautiful home. She's also pretty handy with a tack hammer, thread and needle and paintbrush. Video "slide show" inside!
The Girlfriend and I dropped by my Mom's a couple days ago to gather with family
for a post holiday party. The place looked so nice I had to snap some pics to
share with everybody.
I wish I had half her motivation to transform ordinary thrift furniture and whatnot
into the beautiful accouterments of life. Me, I might have a good eye for a good
bargain in the retro world but I never buy anything thinking I'll re-purpose it or
transform it in much of any way. I can't see the potential like she can. Or if I can,
I'm to lazy to do much with the notion! I guess it's easy to see who got me into
Flea Markets, Antique Malls, Thrift Stores and other second hand sources!
Her house is so sweet. It looks like it belongs in a magazine.
