Is it irony or am I a hypocrite? I seriously can't stand Cigarettes (though the occasional wiff from a quality Cigar seems to be OK) but I Love all the cool vintage ashtrays and match boxes!
I even like the Old '60s Cigarette Vending Machines! If I had a big enough place I
would likely have one....or (let's be realistic) three. I've (luckily) never smoked,
never will and empathize with those who try to quit. I'd never be able to do it.
I have no discipline. Yet here I am, more or less advocating the wretched things!
Oh well, at least they are real pretty. And maybe one day people will wonder what
us folks used them for in the "Old Days".
Yeah, kind of ironic but I totally get it. I too love 60's ashtrays though I am not and never have been a smoker. I love the orange boomerang one. Very cool! Let's just call them "pretty pottery" k?
ReplyDeleteI love them too, but justify it since I have friends who smoke...outside of course, but at least they can do it in style.
ReplyDeleteI have a collection going as well and would NEVER allow an actual cigg to be lit in my house. I just think they are pretty!
ReplyDeleteYeah, there is no indoor smoking here, but the Girlfriend is a smoker and she has her Cool ashtray on a brass plated stand outside the front door. When we have parties I use the large pink one outside as well.
