They had an extensive catalog of traditional, country, and modern designs, with a color-coded canvas, bundles of precut yarn, and hooks. Designs were usually available in different sizes/costs, and you could, if you wished, custom order and substitute your own colors although the canvas was still printed with the defaults. I don't recognize this specific design, but it has the look and I see quite a few "Swedish/Danish rya rugs" advertised that I do recognize as kit patterns. Like you said, the table is a weird mix and glass would look much better as the top; maybe a smoked or bronze color.
