Look at the big kittie!!! This was HARD to buy, you have no idea. I've been scoping Danish cat sculptures for a while. I've avoided buying any of them since I know where this is going to lead.

Googie: Modernism as defined by the space age, the atomic age, and shapes such as the atom and boomerangs. Status: jus' chillin.
So I find myself describing a lot of the items I have to people as Googie or Googie influenced. More often than not I then have to try to explain what little even I know of Googie. It's kinda one of the "I know it when I see it" things.

This is the Chair I picked up last weekend at the Belleville Flea Market. I'm wondering what style it might be attributed to. Status Update: Identified!

Mod light sconce. Brutalist style in the manor of Paul Evans. A craigslist find that matches my Brasilia dining set beautifully! Status: Bagged and Tagged
So I still don't know who the manufacturer is and while it is definitely in the Brutalist style and reeks of Paul Evans, it's not quite fine enough for me to comfortably attribute it to him.

Time for a FONDUE party! Is this not the most Grand fondue set EVER? Status: Looking for a loving home.
This big guy is a party waiting to happen. The six glass dishes sit on a rotating wood base. It's been used but is in great condition.

Mix a Little Elbow Grease, a rag and some Antique Finish Restorer...and you get another Before & After! Status: Better but not finished yet.
I picked this little table up at the same time I acquired the four "pod" chairs in Belleville. It was cheap and I thought I might be able to do something with it. Problem is, I'm me.

So much good stuff. So little place to put it all. I feel like the Mod-man shows incredible restraint in not bringing all the beautiful treasures home.

Does anybody actually listen to any of the Music or Audio Stories (This American Life) that I have linked on the right?
Have you checked out any of the other places to visit I have linked on the right?
What do you think in general of how I'm doing?
TALK TO ME!!!!

They're not just beautiful but super comfortable too, despite reports to the contrary! Ok...so yeah, you're gonna need to cover that wire with something but otherwise...lounge time, baby.

Sweet, right? All wood construction the likes of which you just can't buy at the Plaza furniture store these days.

The other Predictas. This is a Holiday and a Princess. The Princess works fine besides the screen gank. Status: Wanting for the gentle hands of a TV Technician.
Yeah, the Princess works great except the picture, like my other Predicta, is kinda squished. The Holiday pictured here was supposed to work.
See a short video of the Princess in use by clicking through!

I picked these up last weekend when I showed up at a C-list sellers home to buy a set of lamps. The lamps had a pair of awesome shades that I needed for the danish lamps in our bedroom.

Another Before & After. The Livingroom / Cocktail Lounge! Status: Always Open and Ready To Wet Your Whistle!

This table (Adrian Pearsall - Craft Associates?) replaced my Knut Hesterberg / Ronald Schmidt Propeller coffee table that Mr. Harris is currently enjoying the company of. Status: Here to stay...'til something better comes along. I'm fickle like that.
I'm pretty sure it's an Adrian Pearsall for Craft Associates design though I've never seen one just like it on this here internet.

Having the WHOLE world...in your hands. Like playing god. Eh, too much responsibility for me. But lighted globes make the best night lights. In a darkened room, they just look so beautiful. You'll feel like you're an astronaut! Status: Available

Hmmmm...it's a mystery! A real "who made it?"! Can anyone identify this little beauty? Status: Taken but curious.
I got this sweet little gem at a local antique mall a while back. It was sitting in a booth full of shabby chic and antiquey what not.
